Apologies for not updating this site for so long. There was a long
period where we were unsure of what was actually going on with evening
so we didn't really know what to say. Looking back, 'evening' went
on hiatus in early 2005. I think there was an undeniable urge in all
of us to explore new avenues. We all needed something fresh to inspire
us, something individually more our own. Patrik and Lee formed a new
group called 'immigrant'. Immigrant played their first show in July
2006 opening for Muse at the Concourse exhibition center in SF playing
for 5,000 people. 6 weeks later they joined The Killers as support
act for 7 dates of their 2006 tour. They're now in the process of
recording a full length due to be finished sometime in early spring.

Brian now lives in L.A. where he runs a custom jeans comapny called
Work and plays in his new project also called 'Work'. http://www.myspace.com/workechopark
Zach moved away from San Francisco to live in the mountains near Auburn
in analog solitude and work on his new project called 'Here is Vision'
http://www.myspace.com/hereisvision
Matt still lives in San Francisco and is currently working on new
music that we hope may be the basis for a future evening record.
We all loved being in 'evening' and we all dearly love and respect
one another and hope to collectively pull some new music together
soon. A big thank you to everyone that has supported us through the
years.
Cheers
- the boys from evening

| Back
in the studio.
We
are currently taking some time off to record an EP at Different Fur
here in SF with our good friend Duane Ramos. Look for 4-5 songs including
the tour favorites iDiminished and Off White by summer. Having free
rein of the studio has allowed us to start writing the next album.
It's nice to create in a bubble actually. And to those of you who
keep asking, we'll promise we'll let you all know when we start to
play shows again. In the meantime heres a few photos of the recording
session.

evening,

Tuesday May 4th, 9pm. doors @ 8pm - $5
The Rickshaw
Stop (155 Fell/Van Ness)
it's
been a crazy ten years living in SF. i've met so many inspiring and
supportive people here that it's hard to believe that i'm actually
going away into the woods. i'm really bad about planning birthdays,
going away parties, and the such but i really hope i get a chance
to see all the amazing people i've met one last time. so bryan burik
has set up a show the night before i leave. it will be the last show
that evening plays with me on the drums. Kyle (of Polar Eyes) has
taken the reigns. Please come and let me tell you how much i appreciate
how amazing and inspiring all you freaks are.
